On this journey you will experience nature diversity of Croatia: lakes, waterfalls, mountains, islands, beaches. From continental part to coastline you will see amazing variety of Croatian flora and fauna, together with some highlights of Croatian culture.
Lunch in traditional restaurant with typical štrukli on menu. One more sight for this day is Kumrovec- ethnological museum’s village were you can experience the life of people in traditional early 20th century village, which is also the birthplace of Josip Broz Tito. Dinner and ovenight in hotel in Zagreb.1 DAY, FRI Arrival to Zagreb/ Ljubljana Airport. City tour with local guide. Afternoon relax in Botanical Garden of Zagreb. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Zagreb. 2 DAY, SAT After breakfast trip to Zagorje, an area of little miniature wooden hills, crowned with castles and with charming villages in valleys. Visit to castle Trakošćan -the most romantic castle in Croatia, surrounded by lake and beautiful park with exotic plants. After Trakošćan we continue to Krapina, the world’s largest neanderthal richest site, famous for its so called “Krapina-man”. 3 DAY, SUN After breakfast we leave Zagreb and go to Plitvice Lakes. Here you will explore this most beautiful National Park in Europe and its fascinating nature. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Plitvice. 4 DAY, MON After breakfast we leave Plitvice and we start our journey to Dalmatia. Arrival to Makarska riviera and visit to Nature park Biokovo and its Botanical garden Kotišina specific by mixture of mediterranean and mountain plants. Dinner and overnight in hotel at Makarska riviera. 5 DAY, TUE After breakfast we have a special trip- boat excursion to Jelsa at the island of Hvar. Island of Hvar is famous as island of sunshine and lavender. We will have a guided tour through fields and vineyards around Jelsa, where we will learn about medical characteristics of herbs and plants of Hvar and maybe take some of them as a souvenir. In the shade of olive trees you will enjoy a picnic with traditional island products. Return to Makarska with boat in late afternoon. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Makarska. 6DAY, WED After breakfast departure to Dubrovnik riviera. Visit to Trsteno Arboretum- one of the oldest and loveliest Renaissance parks on our coast. It is rich in exotic plants, and on the square before the arboretum are two massive plane-trees over 400 years old, unique examples of this species in Europe. Afternoon free to explore the Old Town of Dubrovnik. Back to Makarska, dinner and overnight in hotel at Makarska riviera. |
