KVARNER ISLANDS ROUNDTRIP
The Croatian Island dream
RAB – KRK – LOSINJ – SUSAK – ILOVIK – CRES The most beautiful part of Kvarner are suerly it’s Islands. Dare to go on an interesting and somewhat different trip in the Kvarner Bay.
DAY 1.: Arrival Opatija
Farth richtung Opatija. Abendessen und uebernachtung.
DAY 2.: Opatija – Island Rab
After a stroll along the beautiful waterfront we begin our journey to the Island Rab. Along the coast road we will see many beautiful bays and beaches and reach jablanac, our starting point for the trip over to Rab. The shipride takes some 15 minutes. Dinner and sleepover on the Island Rab
DAY 3.: Island Rab – Island Krk
In the Morning a tour of the Old city Rab and some free time. Around lunchtime we drive to Lopar and then transfer to Baska on the Krk Island. Dinner and sleepover on Krk.
DAY 4.: Island Krk
The big Island roundtrip begins. You will see all the important sites. The little city of Krk. From Punat we go on to the islet of Kosljun to visit a Franciscan monastery. After that we go to Vrbnik a little city up on a Cliff and the producing area of the Zlahtina wine. Also we will stop for a wine and cheese tasting in Dobrinj. We go back to the hotel, have dinner and sleep over.
DAY 5.: Island Krk – Island Cres – Island Losinj
After breakfast we take the ferry to the Island Cres. The ride over takes about 30 minutes. The trip takes us over the city of Cres to the Island Losinj. We reach Losinj
DAY 6.: Excursion to the Islands Susak and Ilovik
You will see two completely different croatian towns. On the one side there is Susak, an Island with a lot of sand and vineyards, Also a very isolated Island, as visible from their folk-clothing and way of speech. And on the other side there is Ilovik, a flower- island resembling a gigantic subtropical garden. Dinner and sleepover on Losinj
DAY 7.: Island Losinj – Porec
After breakfast we take the Bus and the ferry across Istria to Porec. Dinner and sleepover.
DAY 8.: Return-trip
After breakfast we go back to the highway and head home.
