Be Amazed by the Adriatic TRAVEL

It’s not all about Split and Dubrovnik, whatever the brochures may suggest. KIRSTIE MCCRUM takes an island-hopping break off the coast of Croatia.

Cruising the Magnificent Croatian Coastline

on a Vintage Motor Sailing Ship

Boasting more than 2,000 islands along its beautiful coastline, Croatia is quickly becoming one of the hottest tourist destinations in the Mediterranean. With its turbulent past behind it when the country claimed independence from the former Yugoslavia, Croatia is a mecca for travelers - incredible food, fabulous wine, charming towns, crystal clear waters and friendly people.

Island hopping in Croatia

There are certain things that you should try at least once – island hopping is one of them. Having just returned from a cruise around the Adriatic coastline with the Katarina Line, I can say with certainty that it is officially the best way to make the most of summer.

MV Emanuel

The MV Emanuel is proof that good things come in small packages.

Croatia’s Dalmatian coastline is peppered with ancient towns and towering mountain ranges and the best way to explore both the coast and some of the surrounding 1,200 islands is by ship.
