Katarina Line has always helped various associations and people in need, however a special place in all our hearts is held for persons with Down Syndrome, a trisomy that characterizes individuals with an extra chromosome!

Contributing through various activities over the years by supporting the initiative of inclusion and to set goals in the Association Rijeka 21 for the need to sensitizing the community to people with disabilities, and changing perceptions in the environment by creating a future for people with Down syndrome.

In 2017, after a very successful year, Katarina Line donated a significant amount of € 30.000 for the  DS Rijeka and DS Dubrovnik associations to help support projects and programs emphasizing the importance of these in our community and abroad. The initiative encourages the participation of our partners in donating and supporting this vision of ours.

The three arrows symbolize the three 21st chromosomes found in all Down syndrome individuals in the world, and awareness and support of them and their families. A journey of love, resilience and hope embraced by them all.  

Each arrow represents the strength to overcome challenges, the depth of compassion, and the unwavering bond that shines brightly amidst the ups and downs of life's path. It's a poignant reminder that amidst adversity, there's beauty, courage, and an enduring spirit that unites hearts in a symphony of love and acceptance. Our crews proudly wear the three arrows symbol on their t-shirts, and our vessels bear marks and stickers adorned with the same emblem.

With every journey, we carry the spirit of inclusivity, compassion, and solidarity, ensuring that everyone feels welcomed and valued in our community. Together, we navigate the seas of life, guided by the principles of empathy and understanding, spreading awareness and embracing diversity with open hearts and open arms.
